Director of Operations
Joe is driven to break down the walls that make the world of financial services intimidating to everyday people. This mindset benefits clients of Komara Capital Partners because it makes Joe passionate about changing the lives of investors by replacing the industry’s omnipresent empty rhetoric and jargon with real, actionable truth.
As Director of Operations, he:
- Collaborates with clients and other team members to ensure all stakeholders receive performance updates and research that allow them to make data-informed decisions
- Leads the trading function
- Oversees the technology stack, which includes databases, trading software, and the firm’s financial planning and account management portal for clients
Joe began his financial services career in 2014 while receiving a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He started in Analyst roles before earning promotions to Senior Associate and Director roles.
Renaissance Man
Joe enjoys cycling, film, playing music, and watching sports – and he finds it nearly impossible to pick a favorite among those activities.
He received his first guitar, a $10 flea market gift from his grandfather, when he was 14 and never looked back. His string instrument collection often makes an appearance in the background during Zoom calls.
Joe bleeds “Carolina blue” in support of the teams of his alma mater, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During baseball season, he’s often found in the flag court at Camden Yards to cheer on his beloved Baltimore Orioles.
When the Orioles are out of town, his weekends often involve a visit to a historic movie theater for a classic repertory film or riding trains and bicycles as he visits friends along the Northeast Corridor.
